1. Cristiano and Andrea Aversa. Aversa was and currently remains a very devout boy scout, and he carries with him all the gear he has collected over the years. We tease him a little bit for the type of outfits he puts together on the trails. It is always great to have him near while walking, always has something interesting to say, or a rhyme or funny story.
2. The first year guys braving the snow in July that remains on some of the trails.
3. Paolo Pietrolungo, the one and only zio Paolo.
4. Invernizzi and Umberto during the first day hike together. What a hike and the praying the rosary together on the way down the mountain. I have never prayed a rosary before while running down a very steep mountain, but we were running late and had to get back to the house at Colle for Mass.
5. Invernizzi, Umberto and I at the top of Nuvolau, a ski and mountain climbing refuge run by a Canadian woman who married an Italian. After a house blessing by Invernizzi, they offered us all a nice glass of wine on the house. The panoramic views were spectacular and Inve is a guru when it comes to explaining the Dolomite mountains.
